Mark Wahlberg feels "really old" because he is being honoured with the MTV Generation Award.
The 42-year-old actor will be given the accolade at the MTV Movie Awards next month, and plans to "embrace" the nod as a celebration of his long-running acting career.
Speaking on his award, Mark told Access Hollywood: "You know what that means? It means you're really old. It means you're old.
"I'm embracing it. I never thought I'd make it this far."
Mark also claims having four children, Ella,11, Michael, eight, Brendan, six, and Grace, four, with his wife Rhea Durham has proved helpful in his role as a dad in the upcoming 'Transformers' sequel, 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction'.
He added: "I'm playing a dad, embracing the fact that I'm getting a little bit older, having a daughter who's not quite a teenager yet, but knowing what that's gonna be like."
Mark is set to spearhead the popular sci-fi action film following the departure of Shia LaBeouf, and claims he is looking forward taking a "different" approach to the role.
He explained: "I was really excited about it. I think it has a chance to be a lot bigger than the other ones and that's obviously saying a lot. [Director] Michael [Bay] really kind of took it to another level."
