The 47-year-old father-of-three battled an addiction to the drug in his twenties but admitted he doesn't regret a second of it as it gave him a "terrific buzz".
He said: "I don't regret anything really. I loved being on cocaine. I was the most interesting person I knew and it gave me a terrific buzz. Unfortunately, it went on three years too long. But... I'm a risk-taker really."
However, he admitted that his addiction did get out of hand.
He said: "It was a dark time. It didn't start out that way. It was all happy King-of-the-Universe type stuff at the beginning but then it did get darker."
Jason finally gave up drugs after his now wife Ange told him she was pregnant and gave him an ultimatum.
He explained to The Times Weekend magazine: "Ange is feisty, she keeps me in line. We met, we split up, we got back together again then she told me she was pregnant and she gave me an ultimatum; her and the baby or the drugs."
When asked if it was hard to kick the habit, he said: "No. It wasn't overnight but I just cut down and then I didn't want it anymore."
