Gina Rodriguez has urged people to talk more about anxiety.
The 'Jane The Virgin' star battles with the condition after taking too much medication for her ongoing struggle with Hashimoto's disease.
Speaking at the Women to Watch Day event in Austin, she said: "Every time I have a problem or go through anxiety, I talk about it. Because then it's either I jump over the mount and finally get over it, or I'm able to see what I really need to do to attack it. So we're talking about it. Don't stop talking about it."
The 33-year-old actress had previously opened up about her "debilitating" anxiety and panic attacks.
She shared: "To the core of my being, I know what it's like to feel like there is no way I can win this, so where do I even begin. [Hashimoto's] affects so many aspects of your life. I've had it for so many years ... that rebellion of not taking care of myself can't exist anymore ... So many of my ailments are gone. It feels like freedom. This is new. I'm 33. It's taken me a while. I can't say I'm on point, always on it, because, man, I'm flawed. I want the burger and the ice cream and the red velvet cupcakes. I want the croissant with my coffee, even though gluten doesn't do me justice. When you say, just today, I'm going to choose this because I know it's going to make me feel better, that's not such a crazy Mount Everest."
