Frankie Bridge has revealed that she didn’t love being pregnant.
Bridge became a mother twelve months ago when she gave birth to son Parker - her first child with husband Wayne Bridge. And while Frankie is now thrilled to be a mother she had some pregnancy struggles.
She admits that she would get excited when she could see the baby on scans, but she struggled with the way her body changed during the nine months she was pregnant.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the singer said: "I didn't love being pregnant. I had times when I did, at the scans when you hear the heartbeat and I could see him moving around and his little face amazed me. It doesn't seem real.
"The amount your body changes is the horrible part. We went on holiday and putting a bikini on was bad.
"If I wasn't in The Saturdays I would have felt a bit better. Most pregnant women feel self-conscious but being stared at up on stage with all the other girls around me who weren't pregnant was weird, but it was just a small part of my life."
Parker was born in October of last year, with Frankie and Wayne going on to tie the knot earlier this summer; they have been together since 2010.
And while Frankie didn’t enjoy being pregnant, she admits that she hasn’t been put off having more children - however, she admits that she is no hurry to add to her brood.
She continued: "Maybe in a few years [I'll have another baby] but I'm in no hurry. It's more to do with me; I've just got back to feeling like myself again. I'm in no rush but obviously, if it happened it wouldn't be the end of the world.
"At first I was like, I don't want more than two, but now I'm thinking three would be cute. But if we had three, we might as well have four."
Frankie can currently be seen whipping up a storm on the dance floor on a Saturday night competing in Strictly Come Dancing.
