Katie Price wants to make a return to 'Loose Women', according to Linda Robson.
The 45-year-old glamour model became known for her controversial comments when she was a panellist on the ITV1 lunchtime chat show from 2015 until 2018, and now her former co-star Linda, 65, has revealed the Page 3 legend is desperate to make a comeback.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, in her new book 'Truth Be Told: Tales from a Baggy Mouth', Linda wrote: "I love Katie Price but sometimes I think she deliberately tries to shock. I did an awards show with her once where we were both supposed to be presenting together but no one could find her anywhere.
"She eventually turned up with minutes to spare. When we got out on the stage, she started talking about herself and I had to tell her, ‘Oi! It ain’t about you today.'
"Whenever I bump into her now, she tells me how she wants to come back to 'Loose Women'. And I say, ‘But, Katie, you can’t f****** behave yourself, can you?"
The former 'Birds of a Feather' actress - who made occasional appearances as a guest panellist on 'Loose Women' before joining full-time in 2012 - also admitted she "worries" about Katie, as she recalled how her fellow TV star would arrive at the studios in her pyjamas.
She said: "I do worry about her. Sometimes I thought she’d been out late the night before a show. She used to sleep in the car on her way in and would arrive in her pyjamas and get dressed when she got there. I used to think that was quite a good idea actually. She always made plenty of headlines whenever she was on, though."
But Linda - who regularly appears on 'Loose Women' alongside the likes of former 'This Morning' host Ruth Langsford, pop star Frankie Bridge and 'Casualty' actress Sunetra Sarker - has never refused to sit with anyone on the panel, but she did recall that one co-star gave her a notably frosty reception some years ago.
She said: "[My daughter] Lauren was with me and she said, ‘She doesn’t like you, does she, Mum?’ ‘I’m not sure, Lauren...’ ‘No, I really don’t think she does.’ As we reached her table, she suddenly broke off from whispering and was all gushy saying, ‘Oh, hiiiii, Linda! How are you?’, which just felt really fake.
"This was when I was starting out as a regular and I don’t know if certain people were feeling insecure because they were bringing new panellists in.
"Maybe she felt like she was going to be given the boot. And thinking about it, she didn’t last much longer! That had nothing to do with me, though. I don’t think any of us can presume we’re safe forever."
