Christian Louboutin is the father of twin girls.
The 53-year-old shoe designer - who has been single since splitting from his former partner, landscape designer Louis Benech - revealed he is a dad in a new profile by the Wall Street Journal.
A line in the interview reads: "Louboutin's curly-haired daughters, fraternal twins, now nearly two years old, toddle around happily."
No other information on the girls was given.
Meanwhile, Christian, who has amassed a huge fashion empire admitted he never aspired to be a great businessman and "legitimacy" is the most important thing for him.
He said: "I've never had business goals. I don't understand how people do that.
"Legitimacy is a big thing for me, want to work on the product. My goal is to do something I'm proud of. As long as you drive something to the end and do it your way, you'll always be proud. If it's successful, even better."
Christian counts Farida Khelfa, Léa Seydoux, Eva Ionesco and Elisa Sednaoui, his goddaughter, among his muses.
He said: "It's not about their looks. It's definitely about their attitude. People who are around me, that I know, are survivors. They're in charge of their own destiny, of themselves."
