The 'X Factor' judge has been a crutch for her former Girls Aloud bandmate since she gave birth to son Bobby last month and helped out her friend when she was struggling to wind her little boy.
Kimberley said: "Cheryl came over and helped me out when Bobby was having a windy, whingey day.
"She had a really good winding technique - I actually hadn't tried it but it's a good one. It worked and calmed Bobby and she got a massive burp up straight away.
"She's a natural, but she'd had lots of practice as she has 12 nieces and nephews.
"It's nice to have an extra pair of hands, especially when Bobby isn't very settled."
Last week, Kimberley performed at the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards and reveals it was a "challenge" returning to work.
She added to OK! magazine: "I had it in the diary for ages but when it came to actually going back to work for an evening relatively soon after having Bobby, I found it a challenge.
"It's quite early to go back to full-on performance mode, but it was nice to sing again and I soon got into my stride.
"It was weird being away from Bobby for a few hours, although he was with me for rehearsals during the day."
