This week has been an interesting one to say the least, so why not round off our five business days with some light and fluffy news from the world of social media?

Today (April 23rd, 2021), Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge have marked the third birthday of their son, Prince Louis, by releasing a new picture of the young Royal Family member the night before his celebrations.

You can see the picture for yourself below:

Beaming in the photograph, Prince Louis bears a striking resemblance to both his mother and father, as well as his siblings Prince George who is seven, and Princess Charlotte who is five.

Royalists flooded Twitter to share their joy at receiving a rare glimpse of Prince Louis, with one comparing the picture to those released of both his brother and sister during their respective first days at nursery.

They also looked back at some of the pictures Prince Louis has shared with his grandfather and future King, the Duke of Wales, Prince Charles.

In it, the two can be seen hugging at two very different stages of their lives:

Meanwhile, over in the United States, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted by paparazzi, out with her and Prince Harry’s firstborn child, Archie.

The pictures made their way online, coinciding with the release of the picture of Prince Louis.

We won’t be sharing the pictures, as they break the recent laws undertaken in Los Angeles to protect the children of those in the spotlight.

Some accused Meghan of staging the pictures, without any proof whatsoever, claiming they were taken so that she could “overshadow” the photo release by Kate and Will.

That of course is unlikely to be the case. This Twitter user notes how that narrative has taken ahold, however:

Shady, shady press. Are we surprised? No. But forever disappointed in what our tabloid media has become? Absolutely.

Anyhow, let’s not end on a sour note. Instead, we turn to a trend that has put a smile on our faces before the weekend officially begins.

An ‘event’ on Twitter saw users sharing their funniest jokes, and it has our sides sore from laughing. Enjoy!
