2 Chainz proposed to his girlfriend Nakesha Ward on the red carpet of the Catholic-themed MET Gala in New York City on Monday (07.05.18).

The 40-year-old rapper was determined to have all eyes on him and his girl when he arrived at the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art last night as he dropped down to one knee on the camouflaged steps of the ceremony and popped the question.
The 'It's A Vibe' hitmaker - whose real name is Tauheed Epps - appeared to be in his element as he whipped out a huge diamond sparkler and presented it to his partner.
Nakesha was overcome with emotion as she wiped tears away from her eyes, watched her beau place the symbolic jewel on her ring finger and said: "Yes!"
She later told E! News: "It's crazy, he just gave me this! So happy! I love it."
The rap star was kitted out in a black Versace suit with matching patent shoes, a colourful headband, a pair of dark shades and he had plenty of gold chains swung around his neck, wrist and an extra-long one dangling from his trouser pocket.
His now-fiancee looked picture perfect for the occasion in a floor-length gown, featuring a daring thigh-high split and plunged neckline, complete with a long train.
Despite Nakesha's disbelief when 2 Chainz dropped to the floor with a ring in his hand, this isn't the first time he has used a big event to pop the question.
He reportedly proposed to Nakesha at the BET Awards in June 2013 but they never went ahead with the wedding - although they've always remained together.
A source told People: "They've been together so long and have three children together that he always refers to Kesha as his wife, but they've never actually tied the knot!"
The couple have two daughters Heaven, nine and Harmony, five, and two-year-old son Halo together.
