Poor Sonam Kapoor might be a Bollywood star but she can still be grounded by her dad.
Strict Anil Kapoor grounded Sonam after she returned home late one night. A source said: "When it comes to his children, Anil Kapoor is a disciplinarian and has set rules and regulations for them. And the obedient children always abide by them. But recently Sonam reached home at about 4 a.m., after an outing with her friends.
"This did not go down too well with her dad and he reprimanded her and imposed a penalty - that she be grounded at home for the next one month, barring her professional commitments. And the child has taken the punishment without any protest."
The source added: "Sonam is always guarded by two security escorts wherever she steps out of the house. Anil knows the ways of the industry and is very protective of his girl."
Sonam would only say of the industry: "I am always on time."
