Yes! It's true there is going to be a sequel to the 1987's brilliant blockbuster 'Mr. India.'
Industry experts are said to be very much excited about the sequel, which starred Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Amrish Puri. While the movie will mark the comeback of popular and much loved on-screen couple Sridevi and Anil, the role of the villian 'Mogambo' will definitely miss it's orginal star, the amazing late Amrish Puri.
However producer Boney Kapoor, who is Anil Kapoor's brother and Sridevi's husband in real life, has found a replacement for the baddie role. Which is non other than the hunky Salmaan Khan!
According to OneIndiaEntertainment Boney was desperate to get Salmaan on board who it turned out was estatic with the offer.
While Boney agrees that Mr. India 2 will not be the same without the deadly and infamous portrayal of 'Mogambo' by Amrish Puri. He is confident that Salmaan has great potential to play the antagonist. He said: "We need to finish the script and show him. I will be roping in international experts to create a very menacing look for him."
The sequeal is set to be made in 3D and foreign technicians have been brought in for the special effects.
While the movie will still maintain some of it's orginal elements such as, the invisible man, fantastic dialouges and songs. There will be two new characters introduced. One of whom is Boney's son Arjun Kapoor and the other will be a female character who will play his love interest.
Composing the music for the movie will be musical genius and Oscar award winner, AR Rahman.
There are sky-high expectations for this sci-fi sequeal. But the wait is long yet, as it is expected to release in 2014! I hope it's worth it!
