Uri Geller thinks that aliens are watching over planet Earth.
The 76-year-old magician took to social media after a viral video depicting a hotdog-shaped UFO began to do the rounds on the Internet and shared the clip himself, where he claimed that - following on from two unmanned UFOs being shot down by a U.S. military aircraft in February -aliens are keeping an eye on the planet to make sure nothing "nuclear" is triggered.
He wrote on Instagram: Astronomers spent decades looking for objects from outside our own solar system. Then two arrived at once. When should we expect the next one? And what can they teach us? They are watching making sure no (nuclear emoji) is triggered."
Without giving any clue as to where the video came from, Uri shared the clip using the hashtags UFO, UFOSightings, and UFOTwitter and it has been viewed more than 140,000 times since it was uploaded on Wednesday (29.03.23), but Uri's theory was dismissed by the team at UFO Of Interest, who described the object as a balloon. In the comments section of his post, one user remained certain that Uri's claims were "real", whilst another user remarked that "random things flying around" doesn't always mean aliens.
They wrote: "I mean I’m definitely in the it’d be stranger if we were the only ones camp but random things flying around doesn’t automatically make me thing of them. Not when there’s so much worldwide military activity and spyware."
