Women's unemployment has increased again by 45,000, the worst figure recorded since 1988.
Gloomy data released from The Office for National Statistics reported that the figure for unemployed women now stands at 1.1 million, the highest in 17 years.
Female and youth figures showed the biggest rises and the number of people claiming jobseeker's allowance went up for the ninth month in a row.
Earlier in the year, a new unemployment record was set my youths desperate to work, causing concern all over the nation. This new data shows unemployment amongst 16 to 24 year olds increased by 54,000 to 1.03 million.
This grim news also comes as huge travel company Thomas Cook announce there will over 600 job cuts in the new year.
