TV presenter Lisa Snowdon was attacked in the street by her boyfriend Tim Wade, who pleaded guilty to "assault by beating".
According to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, the Capital FM DJ and presenter of Channel 4's 'Weekend Kitchen' is sticking by the actor, who she has been dating since January, and the pair are still "very happy together" despite the abusive row in Camden, north London, in February.
A source said: "They were on their way home and had an argument. He pushed her against a wall but was seen doing so by a policeman patrolling the area.
"Lisa didn't want to press charges but the policeman saw it take place and had a responsibility to take action."
As well as starring in films such as 'Knife Edge' and 'Rollin' With The Nines', Tim is also head of communications and lifestyle at will.i.am's fashion and technology company i.am+.
Highbury Magistrates' Court have ordered Tim, 38, to pay £100 and have given him a conditional discharge for admitting the assault on the brunette beauty.
A spokesman for Lisa also said: "They had an argument that led to a very minor scuffle in the street.
"At no point did Lisa press charges or wish to press charges and the couple have moved on from the incident."
Clooney dated Lisa for two and a half years in the 1990s and he is now engaged to lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
Lisa and Tim were last pictured together on Tuesday, May 27 when they attended a private viewing of 'Marc Chagall: Exhibition of Masterpieces' at London's Opera Gallery.
