Katie Price oozes confidence
It was revealed today that Katie Price is the celebrity that British women believe to be the most confident female - beating Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie.
Research shows that British women see out-spoken celebrities such as Katie Price and Sharon Osbourne, as being more confident than members of the LA elite. Surprisingly, preened and perfect LA celebrities Angelina Jolie and Paris Hilton were rated among the least confident.
The majority of women surveyed as part of a poll commissioned by Bodyform Deo-Fresh, believe that confidence is the key to sexiness (75%), and is a turn-on for men; which may explain why Katie Price’s outrageous alter-ego Jordan is such a hit with the boys! Most women (62%) also agree that men like a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to speak up.
With all the pressures imposed upon women today by celebrities and the media, confidence is always a big issue; with 80% of women wishing they had more of it. The research tracked the journey a woman’s confidence makes throughout her lifetime, showing some intriguing results!
It appears that for most women, teenage angst begins to fade with confidence rising and peaking at 18 years. This dips slightly through the supposedly care- free twenties when doubts about careers and relationships can cause a confidence wobble; before rising momentarily again around 30 years of age, which is commonly seen as a somewhat sensitive landmark!
This burst of confidence at 30 ties in with evidence that 67% of women feel they have got more confident with age.
