David decided to travel all the way from Washington to London because he wanted to ask his girlfriend, Ting to marry him.
He was very specific in his request- he wanted to pop the question at an iconic, quintessentially English, London landmark and The Proposers knew exactly where to take them- The Wellington Arch.
Wellington Arch overlooks Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye AND Hyde Park, so the couple were able to see other famous landmarks from this spot. It's also special because only The Queen, or a member of the Royal Family can drive beneath it.
When they arrived at the arch, there were some singers who were performing Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'- which just happens to be Ting's favourite song.
David left her with the singers who guided her into another room that had a path of pink rose petals on the floor.
Along the path there were three easels, each one had a canvas on it that was wrapped. As Ting uncovered each one, it revealed a picture of the couple at important points in their relationship.
The last one in the line led Ting to a balcony which overlooked the palace. David waited for her there and when she moved over to him, he got down on one knee and asked that all important question with a big diamond ring! And, of course, she said YES!
The couple celebrated their engagement with a bottle of bubbly.
Congratulations to Ting and David.
Ting was thrilled with the proposal and said, "David & I thank you sincerely for such an outstanding and unforgettable memory of our life!"
