We are predicting exciting changes in wedding themes and atmospheric mood designs towards the end of this year and through to spring/summer 2015. Here at Quintessentially Weddings we are dissecting upcoming trends that beautifully depict the ever flowing seasons.
When you are planning a wedding it is important to stay in touch with the styles that you love; at Quintessentially Weddings we are inspired by our client’s unique vision and ensure our ideas are born of the hopes and dreams of the bride and groom.
When we are introduced to a couple who are unsure of what it is they are looking for or need a little inspiration to create their perfect wedding day we love to get lost in a sea of colour schemes and styles that are blowing up the wedding scene at that moment.
Bare Essentials
We will be seeing wedding style’s and fundamental details laid bare, fuss and frills are taking a back seat this Autumn/Winter and taking on an au naturel approach.
Restrictive and OTT is seeing a rise in culture, design and fashion that embodies a natural, personality-driven aesthetic and mood that is all about being yourself.
Garden Party
Associated with the evolving fondness for the natural highs of a glorious garden, expect to see much more of the countryside in the city in coming months.
Natural surfaces and textures abound in interiors – think pale grey marble, crystallised finishes, furs, timber – with bare wood dining tables paired with bistro and Tolix chairs making a style statement in the events and restaurant world.
And what’s more, earthy, elemental inspired colour schemes are being predicted to dominate in 2015 with forest greens, petrol blues, caramel, ochre and violet at the bottom end of the spectrum, rising through the ranks of lilac, salmon pink, apricot, mint, sherbert yellow and even ultraviolet.
Water Colour
Ombre and tie dye have been enjoying a revival over the past year according to fashion diktats, this means bright splurges of colour especially if it looks like Poppy Delevingne’s Pucci wedding gown, hand-painted monograms and stationery from Jo Ratcliffe.
Key to making the trend current rather than faddish is focusing on tone on tone (e.g rosy lilac bleeding through to indigo) and contrasting this new bohemian style with polished, upscale finishes and settings.
NEW ROMANTICS
Flowers and décor take on one of two bents in coming months. Either you go modernist and en masse with installations of graphic flowers such as Orchids as seen at Dior’s couture show for an oriental, lean beauty. Or you embrace the blousy, naturalist feel of esoteric blooms in arrangements made to feel a little like stepping into a garden (that word again) from leading lights Juliet Glaves of Thoughtful Flowers or Kitten & Co. This also goes for edible flower cakes from Bee’s Bakery
