Adelle Coppen and Danny Jennings met three years ago through friends and are aged 30 and 31 respectively. Adelle's twin sister and god-daughter are bridesmaids in their upcoming wedding and their pet horse Paddy will also be attending!
Adelle and Danny's reason for choosing Hylands House as their wedding venue in 2016 is twofold.
As children they both watched as the building transformed from a ruin to the Grade II listed building it is today. Secondly they dreamt of having lots so landscaped parkland (the house boasts 574 acres) as the backdrop to their photos and for their guests to enjoy walking around.
Among close family and friends, Adelle couldn't leave out her beloved horse, Paddy. He needs a little more room to roam than the other wedding guests so Hylands House was perfect for their needs.
"Paddy is my guest of honour" said Adelle. "He has been in my family for over eight years and my wedding would not be the same without him. One of the reasons I chose Hylands House is because of the wonderful open spaces, which enables Paddy to enjoy the wedding too".
Both Adelle and Danny played in the grounds of the house as children, but back then they were like ships that passed in the night.
Restoration work began back in 1986 and by 1996, the outside of the house was ready and in keeping with its Georgian style.
"We both have childhood memories of being there and of having a wonderful time. We have seen the House transform over the years into this highly romantic venue".
The couple are using the main House for the wedding ceremony, then having an afternoon tea in the Banqueting Room and holding their evening reception in the new Grand Pavilion. "The venue is so amazing", continues Adelle, "that we don't have to worry too much about extra decorations so everything else is really simple to do."
