Nagra was dating Irish actor Kieran Creggan whom she moved to Kennington, South London with before she got married. The pair first met on the set of Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards and dated for five years.

Before becoming romantically involved with photographer Stenson, she was questioned on her plans for marriage:
"Not yet. My theory right now is that if it ain't broke...! I'm not going to leave it too long, but not just yet. There are a few things that I still want to do. And it's so much hassle trying to plan a wedding [laughs]. I just want it to be perfect." (2007- IMDB)

Nagra and Stenson were together for seven years before they tied the knot on 17th January 2009. Her ER co-stars Scott Grimes and John Stamos performed on the big day and her former ER co-star Maura Tierney officiated the ceremony.
They had their first son on 19th May 2009; Kai David Singh Stenson, when Nagra was 33 years old. Less than a year later Nagra filed for divorce on 8th February 2012 and it was finalised by July 2013.
