Of all the celebrities to ask for a helping hand in a proposal to your girlfriend, Karl Pilkington might not be the most obvious. However, for big fans of the reality show star, this might just be the best gesture of romance on Valentine’s Day.
Lee Brickley wanted to ask his girlfriend Joanne for her hand in marriage- but instead of doing it himself, he enlisted the help of Karl to say those four important words to her via a You Tube video.
In true Pilkington fashion, he admits that he doesn’t know Lee and it’s possible that he should not be endorsing the marriage as ‘he might be a right lump’. A fair point and one of the only celebrities who would combine a moment of beauty with a criticism.
He also notes that he is a busy guy and is waiting for a package at home- what a way to merge the mundane with one of the most important days in this couple’s life.
Hats off to Lee for thinking outside the box and asking someone who is presumably her idol to share this special moment together- and of course she said yes- how could she not?
