Berry and Benet had been dating for two years before they tied the knot and were engaged on 14th August 1999.
Berry adopted Benet’s daughter, India when they got married. India was born in 1991 by his late girlfriend, Tami. She was tragically killed in a car crash just 15 months after India was born.
One of their most famous outings was when Benet accompanied his wife to the Academy Awards when she won the Oscar for Monster’s Ball in 2001.
In early October 2003, the pair separated and their divorce was finalised by January 3rd 2005.
