Buy your wedding dress
You should have been gathering some ideas by now from magazines and shops you have been too. You will have looked like anything from a sack of spuds to a meringue, but you should have a better idea of what you are looking for or found the one! I waited until 7 months before and I was on the verge of a meltdown because I could not find one that suited. I wanted to lose weight so that was also a factor. The sooner the better with this one I would say and try, try, try, dresses look totally different on than they do on the hanger! The last thing you need is to have you dress to worry about six months before
It will take at least 6-8 weeks to come into the shop. You will need at least three fittings for your dress. When it arrives and a couple right before the wedding to make sure it fits you perfectly, and goes with your accessories.
Reserve you hotel rooms
If it’s in a hotel you need to get in there quick for booking your rooms for you and your guests. The night before is fair game so ensure that you get enough for the wedding party at least! For those who are not in the hotel; offer them alternatives, from hostels, middle of the road to plush hotels- everyone has a different budget to come and see you on your big day, so don’t isolate anyone!
Register
If you need specific gifts; register with at least three stores and start to devise your list of things you want or need. If you have decided to ask for money towards your future together, then set up a bank account so you will be able to put the details of this in the invitations if anyone wants to credit it.
Set up an email account
This means that all correspondents will come through this and won’t get lost with your personal ones. Give the details to your parents or whoever is close to you in the organisation of the wedding so everyone has access to it who needs to.
Check out tomorrow for what to do six months before!
