Somali-American model Iman married English Rock star David Bowie on 24th April 1992 in a private ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The wedding was solemnised on 6th June in Florence, Italy.
Bowie wrote Black Tie White Noise which was supposedly a ‘wedding’ album inspired by his marriage to Iman.
The couple have one daughter together- Alexandra Zahra Jones born on 15th August 2000.
Iman is also the stepmother to Bowie’s son- filmmaker Duncan Jones from his previous marriage.
The pair mostly resided in New York City and London- but they also owned an apartment in Elizabeth Bay in Sydney and Britannia Bay House on the Island of Mustique.
When Bowie died on 10th January 2016- she wrote a tribute to him that read- ‘the struggle is real- but so is God.’
