The couple met in May 1998 on a blind date, which was arranged for them by their agents. They were married two years later in Malibu in a private ceremony on 29th July 2000, releasing only one picture to the press on their big day.

They bought a house together in Beverly Hills California, which spanned over 14,000 sq. ft.
After their wedding, the jewellers that made the couple's rings, Damiani International, reproduced them and sold them for the mass market at $1,000 each. The couple reached a settlement after this to stop them for selling any more reproductions of their intended one offs.
The pair announced that they were separating on 6th January 2005 before they attended a dinner party for Aniston's 36th Birthday when supposedly all of their friends were convinced that they had put their differences aside. However Aniston filed for divorce on 25th March 2005 and it was finalised on 2nd October 2005, citing 'irreconcilable differences'.
