Cher married rock musician Gregg Allman on 30th June 1975, only four days after finalising her divorce from Sonny Bono.

Sonny and Cher had a TV reunion from 1976-1977 and despite being a hit with the viewers- supposedly due to Cher's lifestyle, her troubled relationship with her current husband and constant references to their divorce- allegedly the combination of all three eventually caused its demise.

Cher filed for divorce nine years after they married, citing his heroin and alcohol addictions as her reasons, however they reconciled and stayed married until 1979.
