Connick Jr married former Victoria's Secret model Jill Goodacre on the 16 th April 1994 at the St Louis Cathedral, New Orleans.

The pair met at the Los Angeles Sunset Marquee hotel. Connick Jr was swimming and saw her walk past. He said; "I jumped out just to introduce myself to her because I knew of her, I also thought she was very beautiful and it was an opportunity to say hi." (The Telegraph) He revealed that he was impressed by her love of beer and her strong handshake; "I just dug her." (The Telegraph) He was clearly as excited as Chandler in Friends!
Goodacre retired following her marriage to Connick Jr after being one of the main models during the late 80s and early 90s.
In the Harry Connick Jr: The New York Big Band Concert video, he changed the lyrics of the song 'It Had to Be You' from 'I love you still', to 'I love you Jill' for his wife.
They now have three daughters together Georgia Tatum, Sarah Kate and Charlotte and divide their time between New Canaan, Connecticut and New York City.
