The Interstellar actress married Adam Shulman two years ago after dating for four years and she didn't think that she would feel any different, but she has changed her mind since getting wed.
Speaking on the 'Today' show, she said: "We both talked about it before hand and how it wasn't going to change anything.
"But something shifts and I don't know what it is. And I didn't realise I was keeping a part of myself protected and it's kind of all on the line now.
"I'm his and he's mine, Oh God stop it... so cheesy excuse me."
She said that all marriages should be approached on an individual basis and that there is no universal secret to making marriage work.
When she was asked what the key to being happy in her relationship is, she said; "There is none.
"Every marriage is unique because every person that is married is unique. It doesn't even have to be marriage, it could be just a relationship. One thing that works for one couple doesn't necessarily work for another couple.
"I think the most important thing is to bring your most honest and authentic self with the other person - that's what we do, and so far it's working out really well."
