Holly Valance has been seen supporting her huge engagement ring from her billionaire fiancé Nick Candy at whilst watching tennis at the Queen’s Club yesterday, while Camila Alves showed off her giant wedding ring from her new husband Matthew McConaughey whilst shopping in Texas.
Us non-celebrities rarely have the cash to be able to afford a massive diamond ring for our loved one but does that stop us from wanting one?
When Angelina showed off her new engagement ring after Brad Pitt’s proposal, cheaper replicas were being made straight away and flying off the shelves so it would seem that we all want the perfect sizable ring but without having to pay the cost?
Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to have a ring on your finger that supposedly screams how much you are loved. No one else needs to know that but you.
If you love somebody, surely there is no need for you to show it through materialistic value? I don’t envy the men of this world, it seems as though if they get the ring wrong, there isn’t going to be a wedding.
Of course, it’s nice if you have the money to be able to afford to have a special ring, but otherwise, why put yourself into mountains of debt (and stress) to be able to buy one?
If you truly love each other, the rings won’t matter, it’s what the ring symbolises that will.
