Lisa Doesn't Want A Lavish Wedding

For most women, their wedding is the biggest day of their lives and they want the celebrations to reflect that.

The big white dress, country mansion, beautiful church and all the trimmings are a necessity for some women, but Lisa Maxwell says that none of that matters to her.

“If I could get married in my kitchen with a few mates and our favourite tune playing in a back ground, that would be ideal for me.” She told Woman’s Own magazine.

Lisa is planning her marriage to Paul, her partner of 15 years to whom she has a 12-year-old daughter to.

She wants the celebrations to be low key and says that a big white dress is off the cards; instead she’ll be going for something ‘more comfortable’.

She said, “I might even wear trousers. I want to feel like I’m Lisa marrying Paul, not some ponced up girl who looks nothing like she’s ever looked before.”

Lisa, who found fame in The Bill, says that for her, marriage isn’t about any big celebrations. She said, “I realise now a relationship is about emotional commitment and not a piece of paper. The only one who needs to know how much I love Paul is Paul.”

She’s a woman after my own heart!
