Eastwood began dating his second wife, TV news anchor Ruiz, who is 35 years his junior, after he first met her back in 1993 when she interviewed him.
They got married on 31st March 1996 after Eastwood surprised her with a private ceremony at his home in the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas.
They have one daughter together- Morgan- born on 12th December 1996.
In August 2013, it was announced that the couple had been living apart for some time and on October 23rd 2013, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
Eastwood keeps quiet about his relationships, however he once said;
'They say marriages are made in Heaven. But so is thunder and lightning.' (IMDB) Make of that what you will....
Ruiz was slightly more vocal about her marriage to Eastwood when she was interviewed by Bethenny Frankel;
"I don't think we will be getting back together," she told Frankel at the time. "That is why I filed for divorce. I think maybe a part of me was holding out, like 'What are we doing here?' Then there have been some definite signs that we're not going to get back together so let's move on amicably is my opinion, but I think there is a mental chokehold on you when you don't have something in place that shows you are definitely apart."
About how Clint was handling the split, Dina said, "He's lovely, he hasn't done much. It's other people around him have done things that have blown me away and again my future ex-husband has done nothing [wrong]. He's probably the sweetest guy I've ever met. He is the sweetest, he is a loving, kind, low-key person so my intuition was still great on marrying a good person."
