The West Midlands Vegan Festival at the weekend was a huge success with an increase of well over 1,000 visitors compared to last year - and the biggest ever in its nine year history, with over 6,000 over the weekend, up from 4,700 last year. And the good news is that organisers are already planning a unique event for next year - on an even bigger, massive scale for 2017 to celebrate the festival's 10th anniversary.
This weekend's festival included more mouth-watering food and ethical products than ever before, with over 160 stalls including clothes, makeup, skincare and food, cookery demos, live entertainment throughout the weekend, an all vegan bar, fun kids activities, raffles, competitions and lots of free food to try. New products included a poached egg from Sgaia Mheats, a scotch egg from Vork Pie and some astounding new vegan cheeses.
The West Midlands Vegan Festival is the longest running exclusively vegan festival in the UK. With attractions on all 4 floors of the Wolves Civic, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and outdoor stalls it makes the perfect introduction to the vegan lifestyle. The huge two day extravaganza offers all you need for compassionate, healthy, eco-friendly living.
Event organiser Kevin White, comments, "I'm really proud of this year's show! We've had an amazing turnout, some wonderful feedback and many more people saying that they'll be going vegan as a result of attending. It was our most successful festival to date, with a 1,000+ increase in visitors over the weekend! Veganism is now a fashionable and accessible lifestyle choice and this event has given many people all the answers they've needed to enable them to achieve their dream of going vegan, too."
"I feel inspired for next year - and am currently busy planning a big expansion for the event's 10th Anniversary Special, which will be my most ambitious challenge yet - with more attractions, stalls and space than ever before! This will be a unique event, on a massive scale, promoting and celebrating the vegan lifestyle like never before!"
Please keep the last weekend in October free because you won't want to miss this.
