At least once a week, I start my day with this green spinach smoothie. It might sound a bit crazy to eat spinach for breakfast, but these green leaves are full of vitamins and minerals. This breakfast really does give your body a shot of health! Short on time in the morning? Make this smoothie before you go to bed and store it in a to-go cup in the fridge so you can grab it and run the next day.

Ingredients
… 1⁄2 banana
… 1⁄2 slice of pineapple
… 1⁄2 apple
… juice of a lime
… juice of 1⁄2 grapefruit
… juice of 1 orange
… 11/3 cup (40 g) spinach
… 1 teaspoon chlorella powder
… 1 tablespoon protein powder

Directions
Add the fruit and fruit juices to the blender first, then place the spinach on top and blend until smooth. Add the chlorella and protein powders and process again until fully combined.
yield: 2 cups (480 ml)
