Overnight Oats & Chia Seeds

Overnight Oats & Chia Seeds

These overnight oats are so easy to make and great if you have a busy lifestyle like myself, you can make them the night before and then add what you like in the morning. I layered mine with raspberry coconut yoghurt, flaxseed and fresh strawberries on top.

Oat milk is a nutritious alternative to cow's milk. It is naturally lactose free and low in calories and fat. It has a mild, lightly sweet flavor, making it similar to low fat cow's milk. It is made by soaking oats in water for a period of time. chia seeds are a "whole grain" food, are usually grown organically, are non-GMO and naturally free of gluten. Bottom Line: Despite their tiny size, chia seeds are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. They are loaded with fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients.

Ingredients

  • 80g gluten free oats
  • 300ml oat milk
  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp coconut nectar syrup
  • 2 strawberries (or as many as you wish)

Directions

  1. Add your oats and chia seeds into a bowl and fill the bowl with oat milk until it overs it all
  2. Place cling film over the bowl and put in the fridge overnight
  3. In the morning lift out and add on your strawberries and coconut nectar syrup
