Given that mascara is the only make up I wear, the product I choose has to deliver in all areas and sometimes, admittedly that means spending a little more.
This mascara can cost you up to £31 which might seem a little on the pricey side. I was certainly taken aback by the price tag given that I usually only spend around a fiver on mascara. However this is without a doubt one of the best eye products I have ever used.
The applicator is narrow, flexible and long so it’s ideal for reaching the little lashes in the corners of your eyes. It’s also less ‘bushy’ than other brands, meaning it applies to the full length of the lash without getting mascara on the upper lids which can be a downfall of the larger oval shaped heads.
The ultimate mascara test is whether it lasts throughout the day and I am happy to report that it does- not a panda eye in sight- thanks to its in built water resistance. It lasted during many a downpour i.e. typical British weather so all UK ladies should be lining up for this.
The smell is very natural and inoffensive- another plus point for me was I don’t like products with an overbearing smell.
And if you care about the appearance of your mascara packaging, this one comes in a sleek black and silver container so will appeal to anyone like me who loves a bit of monochrome in their life.
It doesn’t clump up either. In fact- I have applied it on a morning then added another coat at night before going out to give it a darker look. It just adds another layer to deepen the colour rather than looking like spiders legs so there is no need to take your make-up off and start all over again.
The biggest selling point for me is that it’s vegan friendly- made from natural, botanical bamboo and pea extracts so this is proof that you CAN have effective beauty products without the cruelty.
I can’t fault this mascara- it ticks all the boxes for me and I have certainly found a new staple for my make-up bag.
