I do love a Malibu and pineapple juice when I go out or when I'm on holiday- but now I have found a way to enjoy the same taste at home with far less calories and I can drink it on a school night!
A glass of Alpro Coconut Original with a dash of pineapple juice is a treat and still only a few syns on my Slimming World plan.
I also enjoyed this on my Weetabix on a morning, which tastes like breakfasts on holiday. It also tastes great on its own- its sweet despite containing no sugars and has a satisfying consistency that you would associate with a light cream than a milk.
Although it contains a few more calories than my usual Almond Unsweetened variety (40 calories per 100ml), compared to coconut milk, it's far less fatty and calorific, so a good substitute for coconut milk in Indian and Thai style curries.
Again it's a source of vitamin B12, which can cause tiredness and fatigue if you're lacking in it so a glug of this on your cereal will give you the boost you need in the morning!
