WARNING: Video contains extreme violence

In an incredibly brutal but beautifully redone 14 minute short film, Adi Shankar has uploaded Joseph Kahn's remake of the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - a bootleg that's sure to go down well with the fans of the former series.

Writing on a video where Shankar explains just why the Power Rangers should be bootlegged, he says: "When I was a child I had two favorite TV shows the X-Men animated series and Power Rangers. I eventually came to the realization that high school kids weaponized to fight an intergalactic threat would turn those kids into some seriously disturbed adults."

He goes on to say he cannot "say enough good things about Joseph Kahn", and wonders why the filmmaker isn't yet making big Hollywood blockbusters.

Shankar also confirms that this bootleg "is not a pitch", stating that's the case for all of his bootleg movies done in the past.

James Van Der Beek and Katie Sackhoff star in the film.
