Reports have been flying around this week that Wade Barrett has handed in his notice at WWE. With his current contract expiring in June, it's alleged that he's told the company he won't be re-signing with them.

Taking to his Twitter to address the situation, the wrestler remains focused on his job and said he would address whether or not he'll be leaving WWE at a later date.

From Preston, England, Barrett first came to the business when he competed on the first season of NXT, with storyline mentor Chris Jericho in 2010. Eventually going on to win the entire competition and a WWE contract, he beat Gabriel and David Otunga before leading the Nexus and the Corre on Raw and SmackDown.

Later in his career, Barrett was forced to take a break from WWE television due to legitimate work visa issues, before returning on December 2, 2013 in the persona of Bad News Barrett.

More recently we saw Barrett compete in the 2015 King of the Ring tournament where he defeated his opponents and claimed the mantle of King Barrett, before giving that up and becoming a part of the stable, the League of Nations.

Alongside Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio, he's been a part of some matches before being injured and taking more of a backseat role. What we should expect from Barrett at pay-per-view Fastlane is yet to be confirmed, but fans can tune in on the WWE Network on Sunday, February 21 and watch live.
