Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine are now out of the Celebrity Big Brother house and say that they will take a lie detector to show that their love is real...
How do the pair of you feel now that you're out of the house?
CJ: Relieved and exuberant and fantastic.
S: Yeah, ditto!
CJ: We had a great time though!
What was your highlight of your time being in the house?
CJ: What was yours?
S: Being separated! (laughs)
CJ: It made us realise what we had initially. It was such a joy to get back together and realise what we were thankful for. It was really traumatising. I couldn't believe I had to give in my ring, it felt like I was putting a person in the box. But we made it through, then we weren't even the nominated housemate, so it sucked! We could've just not done it in the first place! (laughs)
How did you time on Celebrity Big Brother compare to your time on The X Factor?
S: For me, the two can't compare. One you're on TV four minutes a week, the other you're on 24/7. I think Celeb Big Brother was a bit more high pressure in my case. It was very intense and you just didn't know what to expect. With X Factor you sort of knew what to expect, you sing on a live show, you don't muck up your words, you go out, you perform, that's it. On Celeb Big Brother I think it was just more high intensity.
CJ: Basically on The X Factor they don't show you a lot of behind-the-scenes footage, they just show you the performances and a very short VT. So in that respect they can mould you into a caricature on The X Factor, and I think Celebrity Big Brother is more intriguing, it's more a fly-on-the-wall, no hiding, documentary show because they are two completely different shows. You have to be incredibly talented to win which is why we think James Hill is the most interesting winner ever.
You were very open about your alcoholism in the house, was that hard to deal with on the show?
CJ: I really don't want to talk about alcoholism, because I'm anonymous. It's called Alcoholics Anonymous. But because they do show everything, if I have inspired anybody, that's cool, but I can't talk about it I'm so sorry.
Do you think Austin sometimes went too far with his confrontations in the house?
CJ: Austin knows who he is and he is as you've seen on the show, he's experienced great loss in his life and his reactions to that can sometimes be anger, and that's his way of dealing with it and that's his journey. It was so lovely for us all to see the real, genuine Austin and he's such a worthy runner-up. We really applaud him for everything he's come through.
Chloe you had a very close relationship with Janice in the house, have you heard from her since you've been out?
CJ: 'No. OK. This is my truth.' She's been in contact with our agent so we really look forward to catching up with Janice after the show, we think she's incredible.
What's your response to other housemates saying she interefered too much in your relationship?
S: I love Janice so much, she was such a lovely woman to us both and there is talks about things, but towards the end I sort of got a little bit ratty. She was telling Chloe what to drink, pouring drinks down the drain, Diet Coke, non-alcoholic of course, so I just stood up to her and said, 'Look, if she wants it, let her bloody have it', and she went, 'OK, what am I supposed to know?' That's what happened and I stood up to her but overall I thought she was a great woman and so fascinating to watch. Waking up next to her, pretty much, not the same bed the double bed next to her, she certainly knows how to make her mark, that's for certain.
Who do you not want to see again now you're out of the house?
CJ: We really, really liked everyone. But, for some reason Daniel Baldwin didn't speak to us yesterday, maybe because we nominated him and he took it rather personally.
Stevi you said you wanted a break from Chloe, have you gone back on that now and are you stronger now?
S: Yeah absolutely stronger now. What it was is that plenty of time I was in a panic of nerves and anxiety really, being in the house four weeks with no communication from the outside, your mind gets paranoid. Things go round in your head, you s**t your pants so to speak which I did quite a lot of the time, and I don't know what came over me that day, but I said that and I think it was just due to the fact of being up in such a high intensity show. Your mind just takes over, so that's why I said it and I totally regret it. I think the only break I want is a spa break to be honest with you.
So the wedding is definitely still on?
S: It's definitely still on. It's not over yet, it's not over 'til the fat girl sings as the words say.
Stevi you mentioned your Hulk side in the house, what happens when Hulk Stevi comes out?
S: To be honest with you I'm a bit like Sherrie, typical Virgo, you know? There's only so much someone can take if you overstep the line, that's it, you've gotta reign me in somehow. Fortunately, really fortunate really, we didn't get to see the Hulk come out of me, it's not a good sight, I don't even like unleashing the Beast apart from in the bedroom of course. Other than that the Hulk will stay put.
There was one moment I stood up to Austin, my blood was boiling at one point in the morning when Chloe walked out and Austin was saying things about her, and I stood up, I swore and I went, 'You want some? I'll show you some', and he went 'Bring it bitch' or something like that. I kept my cool, I walked out had a fag and calmed down. I'm so happy I didn't let that side out of me.
What was your favourite task from your time in the house?
CJ: For me, my favourite task was the Royal task just because it was so funny, seeing everyone speak like me. It was quite weird. The fact that we had no idea that another task was going on at the time, we were too busy with our cheesy nibbles and what-not, it was very surprising.
S: I did love the Royals, waking up to be waited on every morning hand and foot. But the real test for us was when we had to give up the ring, the relationship thing for a whole 24 hours, that was quite a test. It felt like something to do with a man meeting the prostitute for the first time or something like that. It was so hard. We weren't allowed to flirt or wink, so it went like that, so that was a real test. That was probably quite an eye-opener for me.
Would either of you have gone into the house separately?
CJ: That wasn't option. We were very brave to put our relationship on display like that. There has been no other couple in the UK that has done it. We felt brave and do you know what? I can't even imagine going on holiday with my best friend for 10 days, and the fact is we got our relationship, we put it out there and we're not ashamed of who we are as people.
Farrah said at one point it was uncomfortable being around you two, what would you say to that?
S: With Farrah, Chlo talked to her quite a lot but I never quite talked to her at all, I didn't see eye-to-eye. I never really clicked with Farrah, I found it hard to interact, a bit like most of the housemates to be honest. I don't care what the hell she says about me and Chloe, it's absolutely fine, at the end of the day it is what it is and the public get it right in the end and they of course voted her out, so there we go.
CJ: Actually Austin voted her out...
S: Yeah, but they didn't put her as number one did they, around the plinths.
CJ: One thing I will say about Farrah is she clearly loves her daughter very much and she's a very astute business woman. Actually, extraordinarily, she never said anything bad to me about Steven, so that was a very welcome surprise and we applaud her for that.
S: Amen to that.
Did you have any pre-conceived notions about your fellow housemates? Did anyone surprise you?
CJ: We didn't know who was going in so we went in with an open mind and it's really great because, you get to learn more about people every day. We were left with a group of people that we were very close to and there were no nasty surprises there.
S: No absolutely not. Everyone was great in the house, Farrah I didn't quite click with as I said but all the rest of them, I found them very good in their own way, everyone was a character and very strong as well. It's so nice seeing such a mixed majority of characters in the house, it was great. Really good.
Did you have a game plan going in there or was it just to be yourself?
CJ: Hell no! You can probably see we did not have a game plan. I think our game plan was to get in the house and watch the door lock behind.
S: Yeah no game plan, no strategy, just come in there with an open mind and we just was ourselves at the end of the day.
CJ: But what we would like to say is we found out that several people have been saying our relationship is fake. If that is the case give us the lie detector, we'll do it happily for free. Give it to us, mail it to us, we want it. We'd like the lie detector! We're staying at the village!
Do you think any of your fellow housemates had a game plan?
CJ: We'd like to think that everybody was being themselves. There may have been a degree of strategy there because it is a game show and I think towards the end people were thinking more, particularly with their nominations, but that's not our business really, and good on all of them for doing so wonderfully because it's very tough. There were some real characters in this season.
Aside from Janice who will you be keeping in touch with?
Definitely Bobby. Bobs for me, I bounced off him, literally, he was so lovely. A really lovely guy, so funny, and if it weren't for him I wouldn't have had so much laughter in the house. Chris as well, Chris Ellison, he's a lovely guy as well.
CJ: Chris is coming to our wedding. And Fatman Scoop as well.
S: Yeah Scoop, he's so funny as well. Hopefully we'll stay in touch with the majority, everyone.
CJ: Sherrie is so fabulous, she was like a mother to us in there and we just adored her. Obviously Janice it goes without saying and Natasha's lovely, Austin's lovely, James' lovely, we just loved everyone. Daniel Baldwin totally blanked us...
S: He blanked you, not me...
CJ: He tapped you on the shoulder and said 'hi', it was not welcoming.
S: Yeah but it still was something he didn't even say 'hi' to you.
CJ: No he gave me a dirty look. Which was lovely. I don't usually say 'hello' to people in that way.
S: There we go. He was alright with me, Dan was OK with me and so was Gail. Gail weren't really good with you...
CJ: Gail didn't say 'hello' to me.
S: She did to me. But only because I've got a bit of Scottish in me.
CJ: Maybe because I left bobby pins all over the floor and she had tooth marks and they got stuck in the head of the hoover.
Will Scoop and Natasha be singing at your wedding then?
CJ: Oh my gosh we're definitely having Chris Ellison, we haven't asked Scoop and Natasha, we have a feeling their appearance fee's gonna be about triple now... Oh my gosh Scoop said he's gonna do it apparently! Oh my God man he's gonna 'blow it up'! Simon Cowell's coming! He said it in the press! We just found out, oh my God! Oh my God!
S: How come I'm always the last b**tard to know. Oh s**t! Si Cowell, oh my God, I'm gonna tweet him later, I didn't realise that. I've literally just been told this on the spot...
CJ: Steven's more excited about this than the whole thing!
S: I think I'm more excited about that than the wedding! I think I'd rather marry Simon than you!
CJ: Well thanks love! We have just spent 28 days together and he does have a lot more money than me.
So what's next for the pair of you then?
CJ: You'll have to wait and see! Steven's going to Japan because he's releasing a single with SyCo, which is cool.
Will you not be collaborating on the single?
CJ: No! I don't think we're quite ready for that darling!
S: Deffo not!
