Sean Ward has admitted the "end is in sight" for his Coronation Street character Callum Logan, saying the bad boy has a natural "lifespan" like all soap villains, but that won't stop his storyline getting "a lot more intense" before he departs.
In an appearance on 'This Morning', Sean said: "I obviously know, as a villain, there's some sort of a lifespan for him. So I know there might be an end in sight for Callum, but either way I think it's going to get a hell of a lot more intense way before that happens."
Callum's departure will be hastened by the return to the 'Corrie' cobbles of Paula Lane - who portrays David's wife Kylie Platt.
Discussing Callum's future, he added: "Paula is coming back - I think she's back on at the beginning of the summer."
Sean was brought in as the drug-dealing biological father to David Platt's adopted son, Max, in October, and has been most recently seen trying to get custody of his son, while also trying to bed David's sister Sarah-Louise Platt, and in a double episode of 'Coronation Street' tonight (13.04.15), viewers will see the two kiss for the first time.
Speaking about the smooch, Sean said: "Sarah Lou matches him in the fact that she's quite feisty and she's on the naughty side herself. But it is just to get back at David as well."
