Piers Morgan has been offered a role in 'Coronation Street'.
The 'Good Morning Britain' presenter has claimed bosses of the long-running soap have reached out to him via Twitter as they're desperate for him to make a cameo appearance.
Speaking on the early breakfast programme this morning (25.05.16), he told his co-presenter Susanna Reid: "I've actually just had an offer from 'Coronation Street' to do a cameo. They're asking what kind of role I'd like; do I want a fight in the Rovers? Do I want to be... You know? I think I would be very popular. You know, have a bit of southern grit and good looks out there on that cobbled street..."
The 51-year-old TV personality then took to his Twitter account to tease that he'd be the perfect person to play the love interest of Kym Marsh's alter-ego Michelle Connor on the soap and thinks bosses should get writing up the script soon.
He tweeted: "I'm thinking Michelle Connor's new love interest @itvcorrie @msm4rsh #cameo #morganonthecobbles (sic)"
Meanwhile, 'Coronation Street' is no stranger to cameo appearances as Sir Ian McKellen and comedian Peter Kay have also briefly arrived on the cobbled street in the past.
