Paula Lane has had a "couple of offers of work" since announcing her departure from 'Coronation Street'.
The 30-year-old actress is leaving the ITV soap after six years as Kylie Platt to focus on raising her son Arthur, 17 months, and the baby girl she is expecting, but is open to job offers.
She said: "Originally I was only contracted for six months. That became a year, then three and ended up being six. That seems to be a good solid time to create a character and let them develop.
"There have been a couple of offers of work already, but I feel like it's too soon. I feel like I've got to nurture this new baby. Arthur only had 11 weeks with me before I went back to work. I've done six years of solid work so I think I owe it to myself to have a natural break."
And Paula is keen to have a "clean break" from the soap.
She added to the new issue of OK! magazine: "I think it's got to be a clean break, I don't think I'm going to take anything. I have to put Kylie in a box, literally. I think that's the healthiest option.
"It's been electric being on Corrie, I've never been bored. They've always kept me on my toes! I've got such fond memories and it's been the best part of my career so far."
Meanwhile, co-star Tina O'Brien previously revealed she is "gutted" about Paula leaving 'Coronation Street'.
She shared: "I am so gutted that Paula is going. I adore working with her. I think, for her, leaving is the right thing to do. She's ready to go and I totally understand that.
"I know she will do great after 'Corrie' - but for me personally, it's like, 'Noooo!'"
