Michelle Keegan has spoken out about leaving her Coronation Street character behind.
The 27-year-old beauty bowed out of the ITV soap last night as her alter-ego Tina McIntyre died in hospital and Michelle has reflected on her six-year stint, declaring she "will miss Tina so much".
She wrote on Twitter: "It's an end of an era...Thank you to all you lovely people who changed my life, supported and made the last 6 and a half years so special...
"To you all I'm eternally grateful. Thank you to coronation street for putting me on the most amazing path and allowing me live my dream...
"I'm going to miss Tina so much but a part of her will be with me forever... #byebyetina (sic)"
The brunette star also shared a series of pictures of Tina over the years.
The loveable barmaid met her maker after she was pushed off a balcony at the builders' yard by soap villain Rob Donovan last week.
The nefarious character - played by Marc Baylis - then hit Tina over the head with a metal pipe, resulting in her fighting for her life in hospital, but ultimately, doctors were unable to save her.
