Kevin Kennedy is hoping for a Coronation Street return.
The 52-year-old actor is eager to reprise his role as loveable Curly Watts - the character he played for 20 years from 1983 to 2003 - after a visit to the soap's old set at Granada Studios in Manchester brought back lots of old memories.
Kevin is currently lending his support to the 'Corrie' set tour which allows fans to walk down the iconic cobbles used in the show until its move to a new state-of-the-art set in Salford, Greater Manchester.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News newspaper, Kevin - who now lives in Brighton - said: "The whole experience makes you a bit homesick really. Not just for Weatherfield but for Manchester.
"And it's very gratifying to know the fans still remember me and what we did here, it's joyful. It's no secret I'd love to do some more but as far as I know, there are no plans at the moment.
"I have a great relationship with 'Coronation Street' and always have and if the opportunity arises then I'll be very happy if it doesn't then that's life."
Soap fans adored Curly's romance with Raquel Watts (Sarah Lancashire) and the couple were one of Corrie's best-loved pairings.
Curly left Weatherfield in 2003 to start a new life in Newcastle with his second wife, Emma.
