Kelly Brook says that she turned down a role in EastEnders, after meeting with producers of the BBC One soap.
Eventually deciding she wanted to see if she could make it in America first, she declined the offer.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Kelly explained: "I was approached by 'EastEnders' a while ago, but I wanted to go to American first and try other things.
"They were creating roles, so it was a general chat about what kind of role I could do on the show, it was a good discussion.
"I could see myself as a barmaid in the Queen Vic, I'd love it, I think it would be so much fun."
Recently wrapping new Ellen DeGeneres sitcom One Big Happy, she's hoping that things will now go even further.
"I think we're making something really special.
"We've done six episodes, but I hope it gets picked up for a full 24 episode season.
"It's nice to go away and work with different people. If it gets picked up I'll be there [in California] eight months of the year, but I'll always come back to Britain."
