Jo Joyner felt "horrendous" after fluffing her lines during the 30th anniversary live episode of 'EastEnders'.
The 37-year-old actress - who played Tanya Branning in the BBC soap - mistakenly called co-star Adam Woodyatt by his actual name instead of his character name, Ian Beale, during the episode which aired in February.
Jo told 'Loose Women': "I called Adam Woodyatt by his real name, rather than by his character name, and do you know the irony is? When you start there a long time ago - seven years ago when I first started there - you spend a lot of time trying really carefully not to call Adam, Ian."
Jo asked Laurie Brett, who plays Jane, how Adam was instead of how Ian was, in the run up to discovering who killed Lucy Beale, and revealed the mistake was something she was consciously trying to avoid.
She said: "You know when you're chatting to him in the green room or something and you're thinking, 'I mustn't say Ian, mustn't say Ian'. So it's kind of ironic really. I did the complete opposite.
"It made me real. I'm over it now but it was horrendous the next night. We do this show all the time and obviously it's live and the amount of times we say things and think, 'Oh did I really just say that?'"
