Jessie Wallace has admitted it's like kissing her "brother" when she has to lock lips with Shane Richie on EastEnders.
The actors star as Kat and Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap and have done so for nearly 12 years, but Jessie confesses she's grown so close to him in real life that she's started to cringe when the two have to get romantic.
Quizzed on if they'd get together in real-life, Shane said on This Morning: "Not in a million years!"
Jessie added: "Shane is probably my closest mate and when we do the kissing scenes I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable with it, it's like kissing my brother."
He also admitted that whilst he does see Jessie outside of the show he tries not to let their personal lives come into play during their storylines.
"It is very funny after 12 years and we spend a lot of time together as well but we try and keep that away from the screen as much as possible."
