Georgia May Foote is "glad" she quit 'Coronation Street'.
The 25-year-old actress, who played teenage mother Katy Armstrong in the long-running show, turned her back on the soap last year and, although she misses the cast and crew, she's thrilled she bit the bullet and left when she did.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the launch of Matalan's The Edit collection at London's Oxford Street store last night (18.03.16), she explained: "I miss the people there. I miss all my friends. I miss my on-screen family. I used to see Ian Puleston-Davies (who played her on-screen dad Owen Armstrong) more than my actual own dad. I spent a long time there. The show is an amazing show and I'm so grateful that I was part of that but as it goes for being in a soap, I kind of like the rest.
"It's quite full on - it's all day, every day - and it was scary leaving. But I'm glad I made the jump."
But the brunette beauty has admitted she hasn't ruled out a return in the future but is enjoying expanding her wings.
She said: "I would never say never but at the moment I'm happy to move away from the soaps for a little bit. I'm just trying new things, I was with it for five years so it was a long time so I'm not planning on going back as yet."
