Gemma Atkinson has revealed that her Emmerdale character Carly will become the "Del Boy" of the show.

The former Hollyoaks actress will star in her first scenes in the ITV soap next month, and revealed that Carly is to be similar to wheeler dealer Derek Trotter from Only Fools and Horses.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she explained: "She sells stuff out of the back of a van, dodgy stuff like perfume that's not really perfume.
"She's like the Del Boy of the Dales!"
Carly will arrive in the village on the day she's set to get married, and compares her first scenes to those seen of Jennifer Aniston in Friends, when Rachel shows up in a wedding dress at a coffee shop after leaving her fiancé at the alter.
"It reminded me of Rachel in 'Friends'! It's nice to have a grand entrance, but it was freezing in all the snow."
The beauty also admitted that she's preparing for a backlash from fans as she claims Carly will cause nothing but trouble following her arrival.
Gemma added: "She's complex and has very bitchy and nasty streaks."
