Adam Fielding has quit 'Emmerdale'.
The 22-year-old actor has decided to turn his back on long-running show, in which he's portrayed handsome college boy Kirin Kotecha since 2014, in order to pursue other projects.
Taking to his Twitter account last night (11.02.16), the hunky actor uploaded a video in which he rubbished claims suggesting he's departing the Dales due to stress.
He said: "I wanted to make this video to clear some things up. A lot of the journalists think I quit 'Emmerdale' because I was feeling stressed out.
"I mean this is not the case at all guys. In short my reason for leaving is to pursue other opportunities. You know, I'm an actor and my journey does not end with Kirin. Believe me there are a lot of opportunities in the pipeline. Obviously I can't say too much, just watch this space."
Adam's departure has been kept tightly under wraps until now to protect the shock drink-drive plot which saw his boozy alter-ego knock down and kill Tess Harris (Nicola Stephenson) in Thursday night's brutal episode (11.02.16).
Kirin immediately flees the scene and, in order to keep his crime hidden from the police, he torches his car.
But as the guilt takes over, Kirin confides in his father Rakesh Kotecha (Pasha Bocarie) but a shock twist hits the village, which brings harsh consequences for all involved.
Adam's final scenes will hit screens next week.
