Richard Blackwood believes his 'EastEnders' character is "strong enough" to end Phil Mitchell.

The 43-year-old actor - who plays Vincent Hubbard in the BBC One soap - has admitted he thinks his character could be the man to finally kill off Steve McFadden's long-running character Phil.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Inside Soap Awards at London's DSTRKT nightclub, Vincent teased: "What does my smile tell you? He's good enough to. He's strong enough to. He's definitely on par with him. All I'm going to say is he's on par... he's equally yoked, as they say in the bible. They're equals. They're as tough as each other, so it should be interesting this Christmas."
Richard - who joined the soap during it's 30th anniversary earlier this year - is enjoying playing a bad boy because it's so different to his personality in real life.
He explained: "I tap into the side of me that always wanted to be bad and wasn't. I'm a nice guy, so to be able play a guy that has no fear, that's the part I tap into and I enjoy that - the anticipation that he's a bit on the edge. I'm more of a people person. I was raised in a certain way so I have ethics whereas he doesn't have certain ethics."
Meanwhile, the former stand-up comedian - who previously struggled with depression after going bankrupt - has revealed he has no plans to quit the soap any time soon.
He added: "Right now, my head is 100 per cent 'EastEnders'. I'm very loyal to 'EastEnders' because they gave me the job and they turned my life around. I'm a loyal person. If you've got my back then I've got your back ... I love 'EastEnders' and however long the journey is, I'll embrace it."
